Default is it just me or does gas effect 'performance'

I've got a b16 in the all mighty crx and was wondering if how much gas you had owuld make your car feel.. "healthy"er than not having gas. I've had like a gallon in my car for a couple days and at half/full throttle vtec sounds quieter, the car feels a little sluggish. But yesterday I filled up and was hitting in just before/on the freeway and it feels nice again.. is that a diff problem other than gas..?

YES! when your driving on E you sucking up the **** thats at the bottom of the tank.Oppose to when you have a 3/4 tamk and its sucking up cleaner fuel. "I've noticed" that the barnd and octane "I" use affects the performance of my car. "I" only use CHEVRON 92octane in my B16 CR-X,but thats just me.

Some days my car feels better then other days, weather plays a role in this. Also when you fill your tank up you might feel a little slower because of the extra weight in there, depending on how much you put in.

I have noticed that my b16 runs better when I use 93 Octane Chevron. So thats all I use now and usually my car never gets below 1/4 of a tank.

yes

the more octane the better it handles heat
the more heat the more power overall
yes cleaner gas will make engine run better

I have changed gas brands many times in the past and can't tell a difference at all. I was so used to using 91 octane in my previous b series cars, but now that I have a stock d16a6 I was using 91 in it for the longest time(just from habit) now I went from 91 down to 87 just to save some money and I don't even notice a difference. Maybe its cause my d16a6 is slow as hell period

As far as what brand gas is the best......when I see some sort of dyno test or something showing that one brand is better than the other I will believe it, till then.....gas is gas. I've used prolly every different brand of gas out there and I can never tell a difference, thats why I don't understand why some people will only go to one certain station for gas, I just go where its the cheapest

MORE gas definately makes my car feel better. My car feels faster right after I fill it up. BUT, I think it's a mental thing. With the needle dropping down towards E, I ease up on how hard I drive the car. Once it's full, I go full throttle, cause I know the car's filled up, so I have gas to spare. Just my $0.02.

I use 89 cause gas is cheap in certain areas. I guess our cars are somewhat like the new sti how if you have noto that much gas there's major bogs.. thanks again
