Traction control problems
I recently switch to a LSD and love it, no more torque steer. But i'm getting a chit load of wheel hop now. I'm running on 555R's, ground control coilovers on koni 5way adjustables any ideas on traction control? I want to cut my 60ft's so save the learn to drive post for another forum, I can feather okay... thanks.
I have the same problem in my LS, I was told I could reduce by getting the Energy Suspension strut bushing kit but I never did it though....

Just did it. The full kit mounts and complete suspension kit. I payed a hefty $ but man it is crazy. Improved handling and mad vibration when in idle at a stop. It rides smooth as long as it's not slammed to the ground. I can feel the power in the wheel and through the floor. I come out the hole like a sling shot. I cant wait to go to a track. I repost with my results.

i know the new CTR's come with a torque damper...my friend put one on his Ep3 and it works wonders on wheel hop. I would be interested to find out if one is made for a DC
I've seen some engine dampers for sale for the DC. It's like a little shock for your engine mount.
But I have the LSD and the engine mount inserts and I get wheel hop for days. I also have stiff coilovers and that makes the whole freaking front end of the car hop up into the air.
I've thought about how to eliminate it so here is my thought process on what causes it. It stems from a couple of things. When you romp on the gas and you lose traction on one side, the LSD gives the other side the power. When that side then loses traction you get the power hopping from side to side. Because this is happening, and the wheels are still losing traction, the rubber can't hold the power so it HAS to go somewhere. It can't go forward because it doesn't have the traction. It can't go backward because duh. So the only way it can go it up.
I can't figure out how to get rid of it, so someday in the future I'm going to get rid of these motor mount inserts and get a JimFab traction bar.

eliminated all of my wheel hop and also made the car drive much more smooth. i had it in my ek. by the way what size wheels do you have? that could be a major factor.
