Default shock replacement with aftermarket springs

I have H&R sport springs, and I'm replacing my OEM shocks with KYB AGX's. Are the H&R's short enough to not need a spring compressor to remove from the damper (meaning: completely uncompressed, flopping around like a fish out of water)?

IMO HR Sports are where it's at for a daily driver. the lowering is priceless and theres a good balance of handling and ride quality. the shocks are good for awhile...but the OEM shocks wear out after awhile. I've been lowered about 55k miles and I'm finally replacing them. lol

I really dont know what to expect by changing them, but ill let you know
