I was checking out my buddy's ep3 (2002 si) and noticed that his steering wheel is smaller than my stock itr one..... it also has a nice logo in the center, and red stitching. It also has the cruise control buttons (I intend to add cruise control to my itr).

Has anyone installed such a steering wheel into their itr?

I mean, it comes with an airbag inside of it and everything.....

What would be required to switch over to that steering wheel?

 

hub is different.

The ep3/dc5 wheels will bolt onto EK, not DC.

I think he's saying the spindles are different, no way to change them (that I know of).

 

Yes the spindle is welded to the hub, and the hub is not removable from the wheel.

You could get something custom made, cut the original spindle/hub out, and then weld the custom one on. I know someone who has done it before, but the thing is do you really want to do that...

are these tough to find?.. i wouldn't mind installing one of these on my em1.

.....that doesn't sound too terribly hard. I know a good welder, so..... what parts will I need to test it out?

BTW, how does the s2k steering wheel compare to the ep3 one? Are they similar/ same?
