93 accord cooling system. Please help
My 93 honda accord cooling system is acting up weird lately. Usually, when I stop at the red light, the temp gauge is going way up, near to the H (red mark). However, when the light start change to green, right after I hit the gas pedal, it just went back to normal. Like it used to. So, what's the problem? I just flood the cooling system couple month ago. Is it the sign of head gasket problem? I did check to coolant hose, and there's no leak was found. Also, there's no oil in the coolant either. One more thing, it's just happened on the city street, if I am on the freeway, the temp gauge is in nomral mode. Please give me some advice, thanks. Lastly, I also changed the thermostat when did the flushing.
Check and make sure that your electric fans and make sure that they are kicking on, also make sure that you put in the thermostat correctly. And if it is neither of those then check the temp sensor and make sure it is working correctly and hooked up properly.
check the fans man. maybe they don't work when they need too. check the swich relay of the fans it's behind the driver side front lights. mostly it might be the fan that doesn't run on. the colant get's cold when u move in high way but when u stand it doesn't get the cold air that the fans are suppose to deliver to the radiator.
