what up h/t...i gotta radiator leak but don't know where it's coming from. here are the details...noticed a week or two ago when i was under the car that some radiator fluid had dripped on my shirt, started looking around to find my radiator resevar (check that spelling) was near empty, put some antifreeze in there, week later below the max line again, heard something about distilled water so i put that in there, once again it leaked out to, i looked under the hood, right under the fans that are in the front of the engine i noticed antifreeze had leaked and settled on the plastic piece (right below the fans)....so i know i have a leak, just don't know where. i have changed the upper and lower radiator hoses, so i know it can't be those...anyone had this similar problem or know anything i should check out?

 

Try checking the plasctic top of the radiator. OEM radiators usually crack at around 100K miles.

 

the piece that unscrews or the actual container piece...that holds the fluid?

 

sometimes a very small piece of debris(rock) can fly into a radiator and make a very very small leak in the radiator core itself... unlikely but worth investigating. Most likely, the to top or bottom plastic, or a small seal leak maybe.

Sounds like a needle in a haystack, eh?
