Default Poor throttle response after timing belt and fuel filter install

We just did the above maintenance on my Integra and now the engine response is very poor. When you press down on the throttle in any gear it takes 2-3 seconds for the engine to rev up properly. Its like you are taking off from a stop in 3rd gear or something.

I heard that it could be the timing belt not tensioned properly or maybe a problem with the car not getting enough fuel through the filter.

Any help would be appreciated!

I would bet that your timing belt is off a tooth (cams and crank are not lined up)

Pull the valve cover back off and rotate the belt until the crank pulley is at the TDC mark and then make sure the cam gear marks line up with the marks on the plastic cover horizontally.

i agree also. Check the crank pulley, place it at TDC and check the gears again....*echo...echo*
