You can get the tach cluster on the EX, Si and the VX.

Si/EX will register redline at 7200rpm while the VX registers redline at 6800rpm.

What year civic are we talking about here? Yes you can swap oem clusters from a model that did have one.

92-95 = lx/vx/ex/si - sometimes dx (optional)

96-00 = ex/si/ help me out guys what else?

if your car is a 92-95 then any cluster from a 92-95 will plug up and work without any additional wiring. If your car is a 96-00 then one from the same model will work. If you try to use a cluster from a 99 in a 92-95 them there may be some additional wiring involved.

I have a quick question kinda on-topic,I have had me EX gauge cluster for over a year now no probelms,i recently took it out to paint the bulbs Amber, and went to put it back in and plugged every thing up,even this yellow clipped harness that i don't remember pluggin in the last time, anyways i started it up and looked at the cluster, worked normally. Then went to turn off my car and it didn't turn off and I had the key in my hand.Crazy,I went back and unplugged the yellow one and everything was normal. What the hell was that, what would be the purpose of that?I was nervous as hell,hahaha.peace.
