Default H22 head on F23 Block?

Has any1 tried this before? Will it fit without too much problem? If it does, is it worth it? Since a full H22 swap is too costly, what about just doing a head swap? How much hp+tq gains should I expect just by swapping the F23 head for the H22 head?

Some H and F series parts are interchangable, but the H22 head on a F22 block is not possible and vice versa. That's why you haven't seen anybody doing it.

yes it is possible
yes it is expensive
expect costs to be MORE than an h22a swap.
also expect less power since the engine wotn rev as easily since the r/s ratio is really crappy. expect less life from the engne as well.

yes it ha been done
in fact a shop in ft collins, colorado advertises tehy can do it for customersi think they are called PFI...as they say it "We have also been successful transplanting Prelude DOHC heads onto the F22 (primarily from the Accord) block." http://www.pfispeed.com
but anyway it HAS been done several times, i know one case they basically did a lot of grinding and welded the head to the block.

Not honda, but my friend has done this breakthrough in the nissans.
dual cam head on single cam block.

We have speculations that the H23 head will bolt onto the F22B block allowing us very low compression and no real power gains, it might be a good boost project, but it wasnt completed
