Hey guys I was wondering if Advan ever came out with the Model 5s in white. Reason why I ask is because I found someone selling some for $600 with good tires in 17". Is this a good price? What's the going rate on these ? Sorry didn't know where to post this, but I hope you guys can help me out. Thanks

 

just looked on the yokohama website it was available in silver metallic, bronze, gun metallic, and bright chrome. SORRY NO WHITE. either he painted them or got knockoffs. hope this helps

 

o yeah on a important note. they only come in 5 lug

 

Oh ok well I'm pretty sure they're real, I looked at them before and they say "AVS" something in the middle. Didn't check for any stamps on the inside of the rims but I will definitely do so the next time. BTW do you guys have any idea what these are worth?

I have a really hard time believing you found REAL advan model5s with tires for $600. That or they are all bent and in horrible shape.

I'd say for a good condition set, in 17 with good tires, used, at LEAST $1,500.

 

Yeah it's hard to believe, I wouldn't believe someone if they said it too. I'm actually getting it from a shop, but the owner is hooking me up since he is cool with my friend. I've been getting alot of cheap parts from them. Gonna get my swap from them too for dirt cheap. Oh yea is there anything on the inside of the rim that I should look for?

 

Ok I got them. I think they're an older model or design or something because the spokes don't go all the way to the lip like these:



The center cap does say "AVS Advance Vehicle System" though. They're 17x8 in front, 17x9 in the rear and yes they're 5x114.3mm for my 5 luggin S13 I don't see any stickers or stamps in the back though. Anyone ever seen these? I will post pics very soon.

are you sure they are the model5 i swore they there was a model called the AVS i believe...

nah came from a crate in Japan. Hmm I'm not sure they're the Model 5 now, they just resemble them 90%. The center cap is different.

 

Ok a few things by comparing the pics.


1. the center cap on the nsx above is embossed more than your pic.

2. If you notice where the 5 spokes come to the lip - on the nsx there is actually a 2nd lip you can see where the spoke meets the lip... it shows in that lip space.

3. the most notice design difference is that lip, there is an outer lip, a 2nd lip to attach to spokes, and then a 3rd leveled lip in the back of the rim.
--- your rim only has one big lip, which isnt a lip at all.

 

yep i pointed out the center cap and spokes difference in my above posts. Advanced Vehicle Systems is Advan right?

 

specs-

front: 17x8 +45mm offset

rear : 17x9 +38mm offset

tires are 225/45 and 235/45

Says they're 620KG... is that ~13.5lbs?

For $600 I'm satisfied even if they are fake. I hope they're real though even if they're not the Model 5s. I'm sure "AVS" is an Advan logo

Yokohama = ADVAN, AVS, KREUZER, ETC..
