Default Attn: H22/H23 owners who fixed spun main bearing blocks

Has anyone ever reused their 92-97 H22/H23 blocks that had spun main bearings after having their block line-bored with 98-2001 H22 crank and 98-2001 main bearings???

Basically, what I am asking is it possible to have my block line bored...then use a 98-2001 H22 crank with 98-2001 H22 main bearings??

I am not sure how much bigger 98-2001 main crank bearings are. Does anyone here know??

Thanks.

I haven't personally done it, but I've heard of it being done and it sounds good in theory. Just have it line-bored to the H22a4's journal size, and get the right crank and bearings.

yeah ws also thinking of doing this, i was just worried about hom much metal will be left, and that the line bore is done properly so that the crank stll remains centered. but then the other thing finding a h22a4 crank, and they are alot of $ from honda. and i have still yet to find a place that sells over sized beaings if one ws to try and stick with the 50mm stock spec
