keeping air conditioning on dseries turbo
I'm new over here. I've been planning a swap for my car, but it's been too long and I'll never have the money for it, so I'm turbo'ing my d series. From everything I read, a diy turbo looks straightforward enough, my only issue is it seems with the HF manifold that everyone has, there's no way to keep your air conditioning. Well, I plan on getting rid of the air conditioning once I get another car but thats not happening anytime soon but the turbo will hopefully be happening soon. Here in Dallas, I'm still using my ac to keep cool, and defrost my windows so I can't really afford to lose it just yet. Does anyone make a manifold that will let you keep your ac, or does anyone have any experiance with keeping the ac on a turbo d setup? If so how did you do it?
Sorry if this topic has been covered, I did a search, but didn't have much luck.

you can proably get a log style manifold, this positions the turbo in front of the motor more and not down.. But you might have issuses with the condensor fan or raditor.. I'll be doing a junkyard turbo setup really soon, and from what i can tell the turbo will hit the a/c compressor, i'm in San Antonio, so its just as hot hear too. But i don't plan on driving this thing in the summer much, only at night.. I have an Accord that will still have A/C.

I have Maxrev and love it. I also didn't want to get rid of AC. ALthough, I am serious thinking about a Lovefab Manifold.
Here is my install if you want to see how it looks.
