Default OK thats it, I need a battery for the R, what to get?

For the past few weeks the caR dies out after a while now its down to a day or two.

Yeah I know its from all the bass I have but thats the price I'm willing to pay.

Ok so here is the question, What are my options for a battery?
I do have a sound system in the caR (900wts) so the battery has to have some guts.
I would like a lighter battery if possible.

Toss up some ideas, before I go to sears and get a plain jane.

Thanks!

JUst go to SEARS and get a Gold DieHard!
Cheap, effective, warranty, lots of juice and CCA.

Yeah but some bling under the hood might be nice

Ok just went to sears.com and they only list ONE battery for the caR..

DieHard WeatherHandler® North
Sears item #02830052000
Mfr. model #30052 $59.99 Available in Sears Auto Centers only.
28.0 lbs
And it not even a gold. Nor does it show CCA.

whats up with that?

I went to Sears and got something similar. It is heavy but it works and it is quick and easy to buy.

Why not get one of those super light ones for like 70 bucks? Are they not as powerful or something?

I just picked up a new battery last week at WalMart. $39.95. Seems like a decent price to me... Oh yeah... it starts the car.

I've gone through 2 Odyssey PC-625 Batteries, which are the same as Hawkers I believe, in the last year or so. The first one had problems with the terminals and they broke off inside the battery. The second one, which just died, just stopped holding a charge. I replaced it with a Everstart from Walmart because it was only $40 and has 520 CCA and a 2 year warranty. I have the same kind in my Civic and haven't had any problems. Still pisses me off that I have an extra 20lbs over the Odyssey, but my bad experience with the Odyssey, the cost of other light weight batteries, and the ease of the regualr batteries swayed me from buying another lightweight battry. Some people have better luck, I did not.

I have a Dynabatt in my car, I often leave the car sitting for a week or so w/o starting and haven't had any problems getting it to turn over. Not sure how it would handle the system though

HondaRcB - I think the reason you had probs with your odessy, is because it was too small. I've got an 800 (I think) in the Teg. I was told I could use a smaller one.
But it would last very long as it would be cycling all the time. In other words, just flog itself out in no time. So I missed on the weight reduction, as this battery weights about the same as the orignal batt. But I did make a really cool battery holder for it.
I've got Pic's of it and the process, to finished product. But I don't have anyway of putting them on a server. I could email them to anyone who wants a look or if someone can post 'em for me. Only 8 pics - saved for the web - only 311 Kb total.

Let's see, what's more important.. 20lbs, or having a battery that will start without worrying about it? I just don't understand the whole lightweight battery thing, I mean, it's 20 ******* pounds on a goddamned street car. who ******* cares?
