I hear these hoods are light. I also read on the site they have a Ultra Strong Hood Latch



Now I dont know how hood pins even work either. Other than the fact they hold the hood down. Are pins needed for the hood?

I don't know if they are needed, but I know I'd feel safer driving at high speeds with them on.

 

hood pins/locks are always a good idea in terms of safety.. but alot of people don't get them because they don't like the way they look. if it were me i'd say better safe than sorry

 

It's funny how that hood looks like my apc carbon hood, same latch, same form, and same little pink sticker at the bottom. And yes mine was crap, sure it's light, but crap, carbon is all bulbly in the inside.

I didn't install my hood pins yet, i'm too lazy But so far so good.

i have a JDMshit carbon fiber hood and i don't use hood pins. so far so good (knock on wood). i used hood pins on my last carbon fiber hood and i hated how they looked. the good thing about JDMshit hoods is that u can adjust the placement of the hood latch br u put the hood on so it fits really well.

 

i dont have any on my carbon hood it depends if everything u have from the stock hood on it mine has all the rubber peices so its just like stock hood, i suggest getting hood locks im probably gonna buy them just in case to be sage, they also are a theft prevention if a thief pops ur hood they still cant open it.

 

i've went 105mph with my Fiber Images hood with no problems

I've got pins on my JDMShit hood...
