should i get my gunmetal gsr blades clear coated?
aight guys im puttin gsr blades on my civic...
$35 ea for powdercoating
$15 ea for sand blasting (if needed)
Do you think i should clear coat the rims after i get them powdercoated?
(which i can do myself but id need to buy clearcoat)
and
Do you think they need to be sandblasted? They have no scratches or curb rash
should i go gunmetal or black
my car how it is now...

He's not painting them.....
If the powder coating is done right you shouldnt need anything on top of the coating. You should sandblast, it'll provide a clean surface for the powercoating to go on top of. Do it right the first time around.

Sand blasting shouldn't leave anything pitted. It'll just take the clear coat off the gsrs and remove anything down to the metal. Allowing for a good clean, semi-roughed up surface to accept the powdercoat.
Definitely get them sandblasted. If you are getting them sandblasted at the same shop that is powdercoating them, make them throw in the clearcoat for free. However if you want the color to be flat (like the flat black spoon wheels), don't clearcoat them. The clearcoat protects them, but it makes them shinier; it will take away from that flat look. Plus the powdercoating process itself makes the surface strong as hell.
