can someone please explain this to me? cuz i've gone through everything to try and fix the vtec and my idol, which once it warms up the car just dies......now the car doesn't start at all and i was told it is my distributor....and if a bad distributor is also the cause of the vtec not working and not idoling right....if someone could explain how these things relate it would be appreciated.....thanks

the vtec code is why your vtec doesnt work (durrr)
and the o2/egr is probably the source of your IDLE problem

well how do i fix the vtec? and i have the egr blocked and no 02 sensor is the cause for those check lights...........but the whole damn car won't start and i was told that my distributor is bad......would there be a check light for that? or is that something u just find? i have no idea........last week i was driving and my rpms just dropped when i switched gears and died.....and then it wouldn't start at all.....so i took it somewhere and he said it is my distributor, and he was supposed to replace that on friday, but hasn't called yet...........so i'm thinking that he got the part and put it on and it still didn't work. but before the car broke down totally i was having the idol and vtec problem......

the vtec would be either the vtec soolenoid/repssur switch being bad, or not wired correctly.
you would need to test each part and check wiring for continuity between the ecu and the sensors.
as far as the disitributor you can have teh ignitor inside it tested at autozoze or a similar auto parts store for free, other than the unless the bearing goes out in teh distributor they rearly go bad.
how long has teh car been swapped and has it ever run right since the swap?
