Default fake badges.........need i say more?

ok i was on i-15 today when i see this kid in 95 civic ex ricing around switching lanes every 3 seconds. then i notice a SI-R badge on his front fender... then on his rear bumper! so me being cockey as i am i put down my window when i got next to him and asked "is that was a SI-R?" shocked from my question he stumbled and said "no" i just said "ok" and put my window back up and laughed to myself. then i showed him what a boosted DOHC VTEC does on the highway as a sped off. cars look better w/o badges so y would people put fake ones on???????

because Young people are impressionable, they see a brand name or image icon and are drawn towards it.

you did the honorable thing

HAHAHA, so true. I remember when new wheels were friggin bitchin. On the same note, i saw a freakin 96 mustang with a plethora of badges, GTR(what a dork) SVT, COBRA, R, TENZO R and probably other lame stuff. its halarious. im all for the simple "integra" and thats it.

yea i see a lot of those Skyline GTR badges on mustangs. I guess its just that little bit of rice that everyone has.
I think that Spoon badges can be tasteful on a fender if the car isnt wild, and obviously if they actually have Spoon products on their car. Also, i dont mind a factory Honda emblem on an Acura. I dont like those red badges at all, but the factory ones just show an acuras true blood. Maybe thats just the rice in me.

I've seen a Geo Storm with GT-R badges. A late model Civic with Civic Type R emblems.(The guy didn't even have an Si). And the best an early 90's Accord with Accord Type-R badges. I guess they think people with see there badges and say,"Wow he has a Type-R" "I wish I was that cool".

But seriously, having wannabe badges is only 1/2 the problem. Everyone and their mom out here has a $100 muffler ($40 anywhere other than autozone) slapped onto their late-model 4-door automatic SATURN. To make it worse they angle the muffler 'JDM style'. Yo. Too bad I ditched my loud muffler on my Integra 3 months ago after my motor swap...less attention from pigs now. You don't need flashy badges or loud-*** mufflers to prove yourself...

Even with all the hp of an SI-R badge, you beat him. Good stuff!
