I have one on the way with a kit, and was wondering how loud it was...(in comparison to others) is it among the loudest, most quiet, or somewhere in the middle ?

 

High pitched, very "chirppy" as opposed to those that sounds like a nice whoosh or air. It's definatley fASt aNd fUrioUS yO!

BTW, I've had 2 and I hate them both..

 

ok thanks for the reply, it'll probably annoy the heck out of me, so i'll plan on changing it soon after I get it on most likely. However this is my first turbo project so now i'm anxious to get in it and see what it feels like, so i'll worry about perfection as i go along after she's running.

 

I heard that Tial is quieter than most. I am going with the RFL soon.

 

It's loud as ****. Err, at least mine is. I'd like to give the HKS SSQV w/purple insert a try, or the Blitz DD BOV as well.

I have an use vortech bov for sale. No whistling like the greddy and its pure whooshing 110 shipped.

 

its my fav BOV. the loudness depends on your boost. above 16psi it is insanity.

i second that. 17 psi daily and i love the sound.

 

i can hear mine over my open dp at 7lbs

 

You could plumb it back into the intake to quiet it up but with the tial you cant because of its design

 

i love my 1G DSM BOV

 

its alright. not too loud really under 15 psi.
the blitz is much louder for sure!
it is kinda chirpy/laser beamish as apposed to the hks's pure bird chirp.

i have a love/hate relationship with my type S. i like it a lot yet I frikken hate it and want something different.


if you have it loostened up quite a bit it has a good whoosh sound to it but that doesnt = the best performance lol boost leak.

yea my boys aaron and brian drive a 97GST(aaron) and a 95GST(brian) aaron has the blitz and its like a deep whoooshing sound and brian has the greddy typeS and he has his car mildly modded with a Big 16G and that greddy typeS screams when hes above 15psi, enough to make old people have a heart attack..hah i love it

 

it means as compared to the TYPE S i had i would prefer the 1G DSM

 

I really like my Greddy Type S. I wonder what it's gonna sound like at 15psi?

if you liek it at low boost your going to love it above 15psi

 

Plus it would be even a little louder if it's mounted on the intercooler.. which is where mine will be

 

Like said before Greddy S is a little fairy like,but its bearable.For me I like the Blitz DD.
