As a matter of fact, for the past week or 2, my autometer A/F gauge has been acting nuts. It's lights up the entire gauge dimly with a certain section bouncing back and forth like normal or it'll just show only lean and stoich, with the reading never getting to "rich" like it used to. I checked the connection to the ECU and it's solid, still does it. Maybe I should check the ground?

Throw the guage away and get an EGT...that way you know for sure how your air/fuel ratio is...and you will know if your getting close to a meltdown.

Mine did this for awhile....moving it to the actual O2 sensor wire in the engine compartment/by the downpipe solved my problem.

those autometers are pieces of sheeeeeeeeeet. I have a Halmeter AF30 and it works pretty good. much more accurate.

I have had bad luck with auto meter. I had the air/fuel which did exactly what youres did. I checked everything. Finally I took it out of the car. I need to get an EGT next. Also I have the oil pressure gauge. Well doesn't do crap anymore but light up. Once again checked all the connections. POS imo.

I don't know what your guys problems are, all of my six autometer gauges have been in the car for quite a while without a single problem. I guess it just happens to some people, and not to others.
