valve lash adjustment is the tech term, get a chiltons or a helms, they will walk you through the process, you will need a set of feeler gauges if you do not have them.

Def try a search too, there are plenty of posts about this, oh and welcome to the forum!!

Does your guys valvetrain still tap so loud even though you just had them adjusted?

No, my valvetrain was fine after it was adjusted. It sounded like a Kenworth before I had it done.

But from what I've heard, Honda valvetrains are noisy compared to other cars. But I have never noticed that personally.

It is better to adjust the valve to the lowerest number or closer to the higher number?

I was told that valves get "tighter" as the milage built up and that why we need to adjust them. Funny since I always that your valves get loose that why they tap... someone correct me if I'm wrong.

they will tap louder then some as they are solid lifters and do not self adjust. Loud isn't even that bad, as long as they are getting oil you can run the loose, ask anyone with big cams
