Ha maybe a dumb question but
Im about to buy some gs-r blade rims, and im going to get them powder coated...
The place will charge me $15 to sand blast each rim if they are chrome plated (to rough up the chrome)
Im guessing there polished aluminim but i dont really kno..

So do i need to get them sand blasted or not??!?!?

are you getting them powdercoated gunmetal? cause they look really hot like that. i was going to do that to mine, but i kept them stock and got the rotas instead.

I wanna know this too, im probbably gonna be powder coating 'em black but leaving the polished lip... I was playing around in photoshop, and they look pretty hott, I'll post some pics up when I get home...

 

we do powder coating where i work, and i would think sandblasting them would probably help. i got blades and the polished part is awfully smooth.

i dont know for sure though. im not an expert, i suppose i could ask one of the operators.

has anyone powder coated the 95 hammers? i would be interested to see those and if its worth it to do it. any cost ideas.
