Default Hid in a dc questions.

A friend of mine just put the Cl bulbs and ballast in his teg but they are pointing off to the sides. Should he take apart the projector and remove the little black peice inside of it. Any help please.

did he have to mofidy the bulbs to get them to fit in there? if he did then most likely they are not positioned properly.

I don't remember any mods being done really to make them fit. We have adjusted every screw and turned the bulb every direction but it just isn't working right.

cl uses a d2r capsule ( reflector style headlight ) you need to find a d2s capsule ( projector headlight) ...on the d2r there is a black band around the top of the capsule to restrict light from hitting certain areas. a d2s doesnt have that band.

i've heard of people shaving this band off.... you may have to do some searching on it but i know its been done. i've seen d2s capsules on ebay go for under 85 dollars for the pair.

I saw one auction that had 12 brand new Phillips 4300K D2S bulbs for $32 each.
