what would cause my motor to do this:

it takes a couple of good launches and/or high revs to get more power from my motor, it seems like its slower/less responsive until i really get on it a couple times..then its like normal.

have you done a tune up recently.... check ur distributor cap see if the plug wires are on there snug...

 

you got some restriction goin on. you might want to do a tune-up. good place to start.

hmm.. when does it do this? when its 1st started up? when its warmed up? whens it been driven for a while?

you might want to just check your plugs, filters, just little sutff like that. check your timing to, make sure its between 16 and 18.

you could have a clogged up cat. maybe its only flowing good once it gets hot. i remember seeing some dude dyno his gsr at 90whp or so. changed his cat and he got 150! haha
