Default Carbing 3pt Fitment On My Ls...

Well Tonight I went to Auto Tech Place on Base.. an Put on the bar... at first... it did not look Like.. it was gonna fit, cause of the Master cylinder Reservior, After a Little bit of pushing an shoving it fit really snug I CAN NOT open the Master Cylinder without removing the bar as you can see from the pics... the reservior did not bend in any way.
As for the Firewall holes did not line up well.. so I did not bolt it up I think it was cause of the MC... so yah if I change the MC firewall bolts will bolt up

Here it is Again with The GSR Strut Bar ON...

Damnit... I thought that 3 point would fit too.... Thats too much of a hassle to remove it everytime to get to the master cylinder....

btw- 96 Ls InTeG, what base are you stationed? I'm near the Groton/New London CT if you are around the area..

I have a benen 3 pt strut bar. No problems here. Clears the master cylinder and bolts up to the firewall pretty good. Im satisfied with Benen products.

well you need to change that MC cuz right now you're getting no benefit from the 3-pt design, it's just acting like a regular shock tower brace right now.

Between price, fitment..ill take my benen anyday over a carbing. Its a nice piece, but just has too many downfalls. Besides, our cars dont even need that much stiffning in the front compared to the back anyway.
