just curious if someone could clear up something for me....i was under the impression that the JDM integra had the "JDM integra front end"with the one piece headlights.......Do the integra's in Japan also come with the round headlights like this one here(RHD integra w/ round headlights ).....which ones have the one pieces and which ones have these headlights

youre referring to G2's. The JDM flavour had one piece headlamps with their fogs integrated. USDM had them in three peices.

i BELIEVE the integra's in 95-96 had the round eyes, rather than the one piece typical "jdm" style that you're normally used to.
That greg guy from MTV's i'm a street racer had one in blu-green tho.

yes that is a jdm teg , to clear things up for everyone the dc body style started in 93 in japan the round headlights were standard on the car all the way up until 2000, except for on the gsr which had the option of 1 peice chrome housing headlights but those are few, the type R in japan had one peice black housing headlights standard in japan, also to clear something else up integras in japan did not come standard with b series motors they were also offered with sohc motors which most integra's in japan that you see have in them , not everything has a dohc vtec motor in japan like people think

Nah... it came with the ITR looking front end, and I threw it away to go "old skool" with the projector headlights :sarcasm:

 

Some guys in Japan do a USDM conversion and we do JDM conversions! Nobody is happy!!!

What is the ratio of round headlight equipped cars to single piece headlight equipped cars in Japan? I have always believed that they all came with the single piece headlights.

Yep, there are SOHC Integras, but after 96 they ALL had 1-piece lights. Non-R's had chrome housing, R's got black housing, and after 98 they got HID.

The 4-eye lights were ONLY from May 93 to July 95 Integras in Japan.

There are pics floating around from a Japanes used car website, it's a silver 96-97 Integra w/ D16 engine, Civic EX hubcaps (92-95 style) and chrome housing 1-piece lights.

i just got my car back from the body shop got rear ended but i did the SiR-G front bumper c-west side skirts - rear lip - and mugen front lip no wing looks bad *** need 2 get some pics up

.</TD></TR></TABLE> what are you talking abou tdude? i was stationed in japan for 4 yrs and i bought a 99 integra gsr 4 dr and mine has the round headlights. it is right hand driver though

Put the CRACK PIPE down! I have been here since '93 and the production of the round headlight DC2 tegs halted in '95 when the "minor change" 1-piece headlight model was released.

 

i am very sure that there are round head light models available in Japan newer than '95... not sure if they are imorted but i have seen many many pics of such cars.

All Integra's sold in Japan that were made after Sept 95 had the one piece headlights. From 93 - 95 they had the very same front end as USDM, but Japan got the one piece front from Sept 95 on all Integra's. Soon after that USA/Europe got the revised 4 headlight front end which was not sold in Japan.

@spoolinvtec - Japan never called any Integra a GSR, the 4 door tegs were Ti / Xi 4WD / Xi-G / SiR-G. I think the car you were sold as a 99 may have been a bit older than that, or it was crashed and had the older front end put on, or else it was an import into Japan from another country.

Nope!! You are WRONG!! All Teg's after '95 have the JDM TYPE R style headlights!!!

Geez.... I live over here and have been doing the Honda scene heavily since '93. There are a couple Japanese ricer ITR owners who have installed USDM Type R bumpers but the car came from the factory with a NON 4 round headlight bumper. The last JAPANESE DOMESTIC MODEL 4 round headlight DC/DB Integra rolled off the assembly line in July of 1995 while at the same time the new minor change JDM ITR style headlight went into full production.

 

I have a question about the whole front end thing... Since I'm not loaded with cash I wanted to get a 95-96 LS and turbo it. How ever was our (USDM) 98+ front end availible in Japan... I cant tell by the pics, I do know it was availible in Ireland, Philipines, and Taiwan, also not to forget Austrailia... But was the 98+ usdm front end in Japan too??? Also if I got the Type R lip would it fit a 4DR (comptech)
