Once everything's said and done, they look the same. The fitment is what's different between the two as OEM fits way better than Comptech. Of course after adjusting it'll all look the same.

Is there a difference between comptech and wings west? I belive one is abs plastic and one is polyurathane. I also heard the WW one is a little thicker. I know WW makes the comptech one, but I think that they have their own as well. Anyone care to shine some light?

if wings west makes it then it is probably polyurathane. its really durable good stuff.

I have the comptech lip and love it. Its slightly thicker than the OEM ITR lip I've noticed.

My two friends and I are doing a group buy. About 15 people have already signed up. You can see pics of my ITR lip here https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=642474 Page 6 or 7 I think.

From the pics it looks like the 94-97 have a tiny difference but nothing major.

If you look at the pics the real 97 ITR lip looks like it has slight angled side to it, and the comptech is more flat/flush.

similar to the difference in the mirrors on tegs 94-95 and the 96+.

Anyone else notice this? Both look good you cant go wrong. 98+ both look the same, but only way to tell would be in person.

The Comptech lip isnt an exact replica even though they claim it is. Ive done a TON of research on this and I found out that the Comptech lip sits higher than the OEM ITR one. About 3/4 of an inch.
If you look at someones OEM full kit everything looks even... but when you throw on a Comptech lip with the OEM kit, the lip wont be flush with the side skirts and you can obviously tell it sits higher.
The reason for this is cause with the OEM lip they made brackets behind the lip and made it sit about 3/4 of an inch lower than the bumper. With the Comptechs lip.. it sits flush with the bottom of the bumper where the bottom of the lip is almost in contact or is in contact with the bottom of the bumper.
I'm not sure if this makes any sense.. I just woke up and its 4:30pm.... but Im VERY picky with my car and little things like this will bug the **** out of me.. so I just bought a REAL OEM ITR lip off of QUICKTEG for $200 shipped.
BTW, I also thing the molds/bends are sharper and cleaner looking on the OEM lip.... but that might just be me.

That isn't true. All that is true is that the oem lip has brakets so you will automatically line them up correctly. The comptech lip does not have the same brakets so you will have to line it up manually. If you so please, you can put the lip on where the bottom of the lip is flush with the bottom of the bumper. If you search tweakmeister has his unpainted comptech lip like that on his car. However, this is incorrect (not really wrong cuz u can do whatever u want really). The way to do it is to place the lip lower so that the bottom of the lip is not flush with the bottom of the bumper...the SAME way the oem lip is NOT flush with the bottom of the bumper. There is about a 1- 1 1/2 inch gap on the oem lip as well.

I never said the Comptech lip has brackets.
If you dont line up the Comptech lip straight all the way and leave a gap between the bumper and lip on the sides it wont fit right and will look like its drooping down on the sides. Ill search for the pics and post them to prove my point.

Neither did I. I said the Comptech lip does not have those same brackets the OEM one has. That does not imply Comptech has brackets. I was using "same" to mean the "same one I just mentioned".

That's funny, the picture I posted earlier of my friends car has the gap between the bumpe and the lip and the sides fit right and it does not look like its droping down on the sides....

I dont know, the angle of that picture is kind weird so I cant really tell. Anyhow I have the pictures to prove my point and it just my preference so enough of this stupid arguement... I gotta go take a ****.
