Default JDM ClusteR?

hey, i found someone that is selling a JDM Gauge Cluster for the prelude...he says it goes up to 240kmh on the cluster, but i have yet to find a picture or even ANYONE that sells this for the prelude. is there such thing as this? or is it bull? i dont want to drive all the way down there for no reason. oh yea, if so there is such a thing, is it worth around 120? and what should i look for to see if the setup is complete and compatable? thanks guyS!

dude, your trying to make stupid comments and **** cuz u and i obviously dont get along so please, if u dont have anything usefull to say dont....read the rest of this thread, especially when i stated, i dont want to DRIVE there to see it incase i dont like it. and i never said THEY DONT make it in kmh, i know they do, im not stupid...BUT i haven't found ONE site or PICTURE of a prelude in that way. and im talking about adjusting the miles on it to read the same as mine and yes you can do that, just thought about it and rem. we did it before to another car.

im talking about the 5th gen, thanks for the picture, but you sure thats for a prelude? cuz doesn't a prelude hit 150 on the speedo and in kmh that wouldn't equal out to 150. i think the 150 is 240kmh if my math was right with the mph to kmh calculation. also, wouldn't it be in CF? not the speedo and all that stuff but the inside like a Type R's...whats its called the bezel or something?

that pic is of a regular jdm 5th gen prelude cluster. i think the one ur lookin for is the type s cluster. (???)

im too bent right now to be doin math but all i know is 1 mph = 1.6 km/h so that seems about right.

^^^^I belive JDM H22 ecu's are limited to only 120mph before cut off... so 180 km/h...

canadian and europian are up to 240kmh thats roughly 140 mph or so ...the true jdm go up to 180kmh no higher ...hence the 180 speed cut ..its the law in japan

European clusters are definitely till 240km/h (no mph scale though). Canadian would have mph scale till 240 I believe. Japanese ones are scaled only in km till 180

It must be an european H22 Lude cluster.

Into 4th gen it was up to 240 km/h, instead of 2,3 liter and 2,0 liter eurpoean version that were up to 220 km/h

Ok the carbon fibre trim around the speedo is either type-s or s-spec/ and nothing changes betweeen jdm, canadian, usdm, but the proper conversion for the unit each country uses. The jdm and candian both will hit 150mph without fuel cut-off that is. Hes not trying to rip you they arent that rare. Later

quick question with this ... If you were to put JDM cluster in your car and it read up to 180km ... ours readup to 220/240 or whatever ... (not marked though i dont think, stops at 220 but goes down to unlabelled 240)

Dont you need to change the sensor that tells the gauge how fast you are going? or is it electronic .. im just thinking in the same area they have it go up to 180 as if it was labelled different would goto 240 ... so wouldnt 180 on the gauge mean you are actually going 240 ...

hope that makes sense enough to answer ...

CDN 5th cluster reads up to 240 km/h
JDM 5th cluster reads up to 180 km/h

They are all interchangeable and would give the correct readings.
