i've put in the passenger's side with ease. but, now the driver's side is giving me problems. the thread on the bottom of the steering knuckle will not go into the lowre control arm because it isn't close enough. the axles is pushed all the way in the hub but, i can't get it in the lower control arm.

i'm thinking that it is because the axle isn't seated all the way in the intermediate shaft because when i was in the middle of taking it out, i was hammering the axle outwards to get it off of the intermediate shaft. but, the axle never came off and i removed the entire intermediate shaft with the axle intact.

HELP PLS
