What kidn of motor is it on?

I believe the JDM p73 will work on both USDM and JMD motros.

But the USDM will not work on teh JDM motor. The USDM P73 looks for the crank fluctuation sensor, 2nd O2 sensor, Oil pressure sensor. The JDM motor doesn't have these.

Yeah beleive it or not....my jdm b18c wouldnt start and it ended up being the extra o2 sensor. It should work though as stated. Good Luck

Sell/Trade your USDM for a JDM one.

as far as legality, all jdm ecu's are illegal in cali. besides the extra sensors, the smog machines cant read jdm ecu's. its not to say a jdm ecu wont work, it will, but it probably wont pass smog or at least it shouldnt.

i have a 98 usdm itr ecu for sale if interested. check my sig..

i am using a usdm p73 ecu with my JDM ITR engine. I also have a JDM P73 ecu
if you are interested. When I did the swap in my 2000 GSR I used the orginal GSR harness which wouldn't plug up into the JDM P73 (OBD2.1 vs. OBD2.2)
so I had to find a USDM P73 ecu; luckly I did. The second O2 sensor was not
a problem becuase I was using a DC sports header and CATCO converter (forget which had the extra opening) but one of them did. Secondly, the people that did the swap had to swap out the GSR part with teh crank fluc in it; into my ITR.

I didn't think it was the oil pressure sensor; I thought it was the coolant sensor
which didn't hook up into the JDM thermostat housing...this is a problem I'm still
trying to fix. I was told I could extend the wire and attach it to the sensor
on the back of the ITR block; but can't seem to find it (supposedly next to the oil filter). Anyone know more let me know. I have some pics of the sensor and
the spot I found on the back of the block.
