14.8X possible?
I'm going to the track on December 19th, and the conditions are going to be very similar to those when I ran my 14.97 @ 93.82mph best (first run of the night). Since then I have learned to launch a little better, and will be installing my BSQ Icetake. I am also switching out my Bosch Platinum plugs for some OEM Honda ones (the name slips my mind right now, as it's after 2am. In addition to that, I'll be running on almost brand new Kuhmo 712s (14.97 was on BALD Kuhmos), and will try and get my valves adjusted before I go to the track. Do ya'll think a 14.8X run is possible? It's gonna be around 40-45 degrees, low humidity hopefully. Thanks alot

for sure you could get 14.8 or quicker w/ intake, new tires, valve adjustment...lower psi, on a low tank of gas, etc......all these things will contribute to a quicker time. good luck!

ok, so I'm gonna have my BSQ Icetake on, and I'm taking out my right corner lense at the track... but it's gonna be COLD anyway, so would it be beneficial to take off the lid to my airbox, or would it be better to keep it on?
man those are some freak times for i/h/e gsr's... u guys doing some kind of weight reduction? quickest i've seen at our track out of a i/h/e gsr was a 15.0 on azenis w/gutted rear interior (seats/jack/spare)..
i guess it might also be the weather b/c were at like 98 degrees with 900% humidity in the summer LOL..

Ive achived a 14.59 at 95.54 on a stock GSR motor. Open header, Intake and LSD.
2.11 60 foot.
A valve adjustment will deff help. You can also run some octane booster and advance your ignition.

yeah, my 14.97 was with just the spare taken out, with a 2.38 60' time. 40 degree and low humidity (and a good driver
) make all the difference. Plus, I think my car is the golden child

throw some itr cams and you will be more happy with your car in general track wise and the mid-range to high end you will feel a great improvement......

is 20 too low? what kind of wheels? plus some one said that they ran with open header, wouldn't that just kill all the back-pressure needed for torque on an NA car? (noob here)

You should come with us. It's a group of 15-30 people, mostly domestics, and we're going to Temple Academy Dragway. North Texas people are meeting at I-20 and I-35, and then caravaning down to meet the other guys at Baylor, and then the track is another 35 min from there. Want more details?

I agree. that sounds pretty low. should i run low tire pressure even in my hot weather ? (nub here
