when im in any gear... when i pass 3200 rpm and about 4300 rpm... i hear this quick zzzzzzzzip sound... then normal... any ideas? my tranny grinds in 3rd once in a while... clutch is good (act xtss)... im confused, and scared!

 

I think it might be heat shield on cat. my car does the same thing in same RPM range.

 

same thing happens to me and many other people. its usually between 3-4k rpms because thats when the most pressure is built up. ive heard heat shields to pressure plates to GSR header crack etc. Its not a problem, pretty annoying though
