I was wanting the same type of exhaust for my car, not too loud as well. I ended up getting a greddy evo. Just what I wanted.

this is what my friend was looking at. another one of my friends had a apexi dunk on his sh but they dont make that exhaust anymore. so i think this guy is going to go with a evo.

Skunk2 is really good. Not too loud like the n1. The only thing I don't like is how small the tip is. Looks a little weird but packs one hell of a punch.

What are you talking about, I can fit my fist in my skunk2 tip(and it looks aggressive) and my skunk2 is the loudest prelude exhaust I have heard to date, and a friend has evo, and I have had tanabe super hyper medallion and have heard n1.

Btw- it sounds deep in low rpms and as you start going it gets crazy. I love it. The tip comes out dead even with the preludes rear bumper and fits nice under my mugen rear skirts.

HEADER. NOT headers unless you have a v8 prelude

The Tanabe G-Power had a great sound, but I don't think they make those anymore - Hyper is nice, but almost too quiet.

I guess man, if you like the tip lookin small compared to the lines of a prelude. Every person who has seen my exhaust has said the tip looks too small for a lude. It looks better on a smaller car like a hatch. I don't know what you mean by the skunk2 being the loudest cause my friend has an N1 on his 5th gen and it sets of alarms when he starts his car. The same exhaust systems sound different on every car depending on mods. But I do agree, it does have rumble at low RPMs and screams at VTEC.

N1-style exhausts are just going to be loud unless you shove the silencer in them. There just isn't much muffling material there.

The skunk2 tip is like a 1/2 of an inch smaller than the actual cannister itself, and the tip is a 4 inch that lines up perfect with the rear of my bumper and looks awesome. Are you telling me thats small, you can prolly fit a cd in there. It has nothing weird, just a quality nice n1 simple design. And I set off car alarms with silencer in, but took it out to ensure theres no raspiness whatsoever. And it worked. I regularly have friends tell me when I arrive to there house "I heard you coming like 2 minutes ago" but honestly I think im ready for a mugen.

Would you care to enlighten me on how a 4 inch tip looks small with the lines of a prelude. Theres no lines for any exhuast to flow with on a lude lol.

I bet you get a good bit more sound w/ the hi-flow cat. That exhaust sounded good but REALLY quiet on an SH w/ stock header/cat when I heard it. I'd be curious to hear it IRL along w/ one on an otherwise stock exhaust setup.

N1 is LOUD and pretty raspy w/o a silencer. I've only heard it "open" tho.

Skunk2lude, I forgot to notice that you have a Mugen kit on your car. WIth that kit, any exhaust would look big. I don't understand how you set off alarms with the silencer in. The exhaust almost sounds stock with it in. It's obvious we have different opinions on what's "loud" and what's "big" some are easily impressed....I'm not

im not impressed by how big the tip is lol, its a feasable size for the power my engine puts out. A skunk2 exhaust is so big its plenty feasable for most turbo apps, and I Couldnt even tell a sound difference to much with the silencer in or out, It just sounded a lil better with it out/ Once again I dont care about looks, and are you saying your "impressed" with 5+ inch tips for na apps on a lude? Maybe on a 700 hp bpu supra, Do you have a fifth gen? And the rear is two little lips, those included with bumper are smaller than your average aftermarket bumper. And I dont understand why it sets off alarms either, If anyone wants to meet me around atlanta I will gladly go through any parking lot and set off several alarms with my silencer in below 5 rpms. Its really quite funny, one time I was at a waffle house and I started my car and set off a dodge dakota, and he turned it off immediately from inside, and then I barely gassed it and set it off again, everyone was laughing including him.

Oh yeah, dont get me wrong though if its been sitting for a while and I just start it up without driving on it, It doesnt sound loud at all, but it sounds awesome as it gets warmed up in about 3 minutes.
