Default Glowing rotors on a FWD

Very rare right? This anomaly occured at Second Creek Raceway in Denver CO on Nov 2 during Solo I (trials). This guy's brake set-up is Goodridge line, Hawk HP+ and DOT 5 fluid. Amazingly he said he still had brakes. Of course the foggy weather helped illuminate the rotors. Just thought I'd share.

My favorite race pic was always one of a Porsche 935 at Daytona at night. All you could see was a slight outline of the car like a shadow on black, the glowing brake rotors, the two glowing turbos hanging under the motor, and flames out the exhaust.

But my wheels aren't bronze so it doesn't work... must be a manufacturers defect anomoly.

Not uncommon on stock cars with no ducting.

Watch any races with showroom stock cars or equivalent NASA classes.

I race in PS and PS2 classes and the rotors always glow during the instant replay.

I can't remember if I saw it in a magazine or on a poster. It was probably 15 years ago, before everything was in electronic format. I'll take a look and see if I can find where I saw it and if they have it electronic. It was a great pic and I want a copy anyway now that this thread made me think of it again.

My personal highlight was getting black flagged at Summit for throwing VISIBLE sparks during the day. The Captain got it on film and showed his classroom students.

They thought my brakes were on fire. This was YEARS ago with OE Nissan pads.
