Default Getting a swap

hey ya'll, this is my first post on the site and it's a big one. Last week a i blew the motor in my 95 prelude si automatic. I did some shopping around and decided to go with a local shop callled Precision R. I'm getting the jdm h22 with the auto to manual conversion for $4,400 . What do you all think of the price? The shop is pretty well known around San Antonio and I've heard they do good work. Just though i would share with you all what's going on with my car. Can't wait till it's back in my hands!!!

Thats almost 2 g's for labor. I would look around for better labor stuff, now it could be more cause of the transmission( I don't know those labor costs). If you get a shop to do just an engine swap normally it is around 500-1000 for labor.

I wanted to do the auto to manual tranny conversion a while back myself. I have a very detailed write-up on how to perform the conversion. If you want that file, PM me about it. Other than that, $4,400 seems like a LOT of money to have that done. I say you look a little more into this to find a better deal or else decide if this is a job you could do yourself with the help of a few others. If you did it yourself you would cut the price bigtime. That's just my opinion. Good luck.
