91 Legend engine swap?
Anyone know what engines/trannies can be swapped into a 91 Legend and how difficult they are to do? Any help would be appreciated, my friend's tranny is going out and he's trying to look into swapping.
unless he wants to get into a lot of work and a lot of money, just keep the normal transmission in there. (if he has an auto, keep an auto, and if he has a manual, keep the manual)
if you want to do a lot of work, you could put a type 2 motor in the car, along with a type 2 transmission. you need to mate the two because type 1 and type 2 have different flywheels (for manuals at least, not sure if the autos are the same)
i would recommend just staying with the normal transmission, just a new one of the same kind.
http://www.car-parts.com has a bunch of transmissions.
