I also just switched back to 5w-30 for the winter. I experimented with 20w-50 my last time at Summit Point (80 degree day). I may run this in the summer during races, but I hear heavy weight oil may rob some horsepower.

Works for me, when I bought my car a year ago it was filled up with 0-30W synthetic oil (don't remember the brand) and over the winter I had to add 2 liters to keep up with the oil consumption.
This was over a distance of 12000 km's and cold Norwegian weather, just daily driving.
I had my car in for service at my local dealership in June and they put in Castrol TXT 5-30W synthetic oil and the oil consumption just dissapeared after the change of oil, just recently did an oil change myself after another 10000 km's and it's maybe used 1-2 dl of oil over the summer. So I continue to use the same oil.
Car is a daily driver and do not see track use, at least not until next season

Is the oil cap near the gas cap? I can't seem to find it. Anyone have a pic?

I always use 5w 30, it seems that anything else make my car kinda sluggish, even 10w30. I tried 10w50 once haha needless to say that was a waste of money and did an oil change about 200 miles later. Im tempted to try 0w30...

I've always used 5w-30 also. That's what the oil cap and Honda recommend.
Just switched from Mobil 1 5w-30 ,(used for 25k miles) to Castrol Syntec 5w-30.

Have you tried another brand of oil besides Mobil 1?
