Default Mandrel bends and Magnaflow

I am putting together a custom exhaust. Does anyone know where I can find mandrel bends to use? Specifically 2.5" ones for cheap. Thanks, JFoster

I don't know if they sell them made like that. But if you go to your local shops and ask around some maybe able to make some mandrel bends for you, it'll just cost a hell of a lot more.

Yeah. He's a good guy. That's the same as the link I posted, too. Either way...

Thanks for the link and suggestion.I sent him an IM. I am waiting for a reply. I also need to find a good site to order a magnaflow muffler from as none of the local muffler shops sell them.

Thanks for the link deepgreengsr, that site has the largest selection I have seen yet. Unfortunatley my goal is to do this as budget as possible. The best price I have found so far is here:
http://www.jcwhitney.com/webap...10101
If anybody spots a better deal let me know. I still need to find a deal on a magnaflow muffler.I am actually not looking at their "import mufflers" but for thier universal mufflers as they are cheaper and I plan to reuse my stock tip. Thanks, James

cheep is good. jc whitney is prolly the cheepest. you can go to a muffler shop and they will punch out a exhaust cheep sub 300 usually. I dont reccomend building an mandrel exhaust yourself in mild steel. imho its a waste of $$, and will not last too long. If you are investing your time get all stainless.

Kteller8 can also get you the muffler you want, his piping is great and at a very reasonable price. Tell him what you need he can get alot of different products

Thanks for the replies. Kteller8 and SMSP both quoted me $185 for a 2.5" cat with flanges and bung. I am sure their stuff is top quality but my goal is budget. As of now my plans are to get the cat here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...73386
for $47 shipped. Performance curve also has the muffler I want
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...73545
for $43+$10s&h. I plan to get my flanges here:
http://www.jcwhitney.com/webap...10101
And the bung for the cat here:
http://store.summitracing.com/...3&y=8
And the bends at JC which I already linked to. My total on the cat with the flanges and bung + $15 for the muffler shop to weld it should be around $75. I am supplying the muffler, mandrel bends and cat, and the muffler guy is supplying the straight sections and welding it all for around $125. Any comments are welcome, if you spot a better price let me know.I still have to educate myself on and select a resonator. I hope the links I am posting will help someone else looking for this kind of stuff. Thanks, JFoster

did you try summitracing.com? i did my custom catback at a muffler shop with mandrel bends, i had my own muffler and resonator and everything ended up to be about 250. I live in cali so can't mess with the cat.

Yeah, I am getting the bung for the cat from summit. Mine would be cheaper if I wasn't spending $75 on the high flow cat. But I would feel like my Jun header was a waste of money if I just choked off the 2.5" collector with a smaller cat. Thanks, JFoster
