Default Not sure if bov is working right????

After two years of **** i finaly got the b16 sol turbo'd. BUT.. Im not sure if the bov is working right. Its a greddy type S i got used form a kid in town that i had also bought the turbo (i got rebuilt), intercooler , and various other stuff from. He had a local shop, that sucks ***, put the kit on his car and they had put the vac on the purg nipple on the bov. would this have ruind the bov?

The reason i think its not working is because of how people discribe how the type S sounds like, and how other bov's iv heard ( 1gen mitsu bov and 2002 VW GTI bov) sound like.

What im hearing now is kind of a LIGHT swoosh with a wistle at low boost, and a vary audioble fluter at higher boost (5-8 psi)

I have the bov set to as soft as it can go and the vac is tee'd in to the brake booster. Just to make sure... the top nip is the vac and the bottom one in the purg?

Thanks

You may want to try and tighten the BOV. My BOV has that flutter at low boost and a loud swoosh at high. When I have it all the way loose I would leak boost and only flutter at high PSI.

I know exactly what sound you are talking about... It kinda sounds like a flutter..like a can opening right? Or a like chirping dying bird. haha. You can try another vacuum source, but ur boosting about the same psi i was boosting, so it may have to do with the pressure.
