The return of the Nelson Ledges Endurance Race
I ran an ITA RX7 in " Longest Day" 24 hour races at Nelson Ledges in 1994 and 1995 and crewed in 1992. I haven't been back to the track since then as it is a sh*thole extraordinaire but a long enduro would get me back there.
I am probably building a new ITA car this Spring, maybe it should be enduro capable.

We'll be there in July if nothing fatal happens during the 12 hours at the point. I'm just happy to see more enduro's. I hope everything works out for you and the new car.
I would love to see that race start again. I've got 5 years as a driver, and couple more working crew. I would love to do it again. Lee don't use the new car, I bet we can find an older one.

Spoken like someone who has with experience there
Ledges can be a car eater anyway but Longest Day was more like a meat grinder. I have previously stated that I would never drive my own car at Ledges again but would be happy to drive someone elses. Remember the saying "Things go bump in the night"?

For many years there have been rumors of repaving at Ledges but here are some pics showing that something is actually being done in places... http://www.relentlessrallyspor....html
Now with an industrial strength weed eater, mosquito killer in the tire walls, and some serious plumbing work we may actually even want to go there. Ledges has always suffered from a low budget for improvements and upgrades but maybe this is a sign of some turn around.

OUTSTANDING!
I was there about a month (little more) ago with sackdz and effect for a NASA weekend and walked the track one night, this is definately the most they've done to the track in 20-30 or more years!
