I'm putting a tranny in my LS today (5 speed) and I just got it stuck back up beside the motor, was sliding it on and i could only get it to go like 1/4 inch away from the engine, It never would just pop in. I assumed it should....and I tried rotating it and pushing and pulling and jerking, etc.... so does it go all the way on or do you have to draw it on with the bolts? I know that doesnt sound good, but I just want assurance.....

 

So you got the output shaft and splines on, but it won't slide all the way on? I usuially just thread a bolt in (assuming that it's close enough) and that usuially gets it on there.
