whats a good drop for 15" wheels
whats up honda peeps, im wanting to get some 15's and wanted to know how much of a drop would look good. i want the drop rite where the tire starts and im not sure how much of a drop i need. would a 1.5-1.8 be good.i dont want to slam it. i know i could get some GC and adjust it, but i dont have alot of mula rite now. they have some tokico HP struts with some tokico springs for like $400 and thats the price range im wanting with springs and struts. help would be apprciated, thanx in advance. also what is a good size tire to get, i was thinking of 195/50/15.

you'll go at least 2'' even 2.5'' and that will tuck the tire and stand a little above the rim. leaving you with a slight camber ...thats how my 92 dx sits.
do you have any pics, whats a good camber kits, if i need it. i havent really asked to many questions about products cuz i havent really had money to buy the stuff, but my wife just started working and is making good money, so i can afford to fix my car up rite.
considering the fact that STOCK,
the front wheel well gap on an eg hatch is 3.5"
and rear is 2.5"
you'd need a 3.5"f/2.5"r drop to bring the fender down to the tire.
might be a little less if you got bigger tires..
and the camber change front such a drop would effect how it looks also.
but yeah.. a 1.8" drop wont even come close to cutting it

If you buy 15'x6.5's Rims....make sure you get a 42 mm offset. If you want to run 205/50's.... 40mmoffset is so/so,
38 (rota circuit 8s ) is poor offsett IMO unless ur running 195/55's
As for drop, The H&R sports drop a 92-95 civic ~ 1.8 frnt 1.6 rear. (ok but leaves some serious gap in the back. But the springs handle well in turns and give a very comfortable ride overall. )
I have sports w/ koni reds.
I wish I had bought something that drops the back a lil more.. Like H&R race but the ride is STIFF!!!! and you should get a good camber kit front and rear. With good shocks like bilstein or koni yellows.. if your buying race springs.

im almost better off getting the GC,rite. would the Tokico HP's be good struts to run with the GC. is the skunk 2 camber kit a good kit or have some of you run into some problems. thanx for the feedback. i dont want to **** up my car, getting stuff that other ppl suggest i not get.

I have a 93 del sol and it rides on DropZone coilovers and DropZone gas shocks. Most people on here say DZ is poor quality but people who ride in my sol love it. It rides smooth (not bouncy at all) and handles good. Very good for the $$.
thanx, SolObsession for the imfo, ive seen DZ springs and struts and thought they were poor quality, too. i think i might go with the GC and some KYB's. my problem is i want to fix my car up so bad that i start to rush things and becuz i havent had money to but anything. now i got alittle money i dont know what to buy or what part of my car to fix up ,first.
i have a 3 inch front drop and 2.9 inch rear drop.

-1.9 degrees of camber in the front, -2.5 in the back.

check out the classifieds for some used gc's or skunk2 coils. and then buy some agx's or illuminas.
that way you can adjust the drop the way you want. mine is about 3in front and 2.50 rear with 205-50-15 azenis. with a skunk2 camber kit in the front. -1 degree front -1 degree rear. handles great and i dont rub ever.
