????'s about short throw shifters.....I bought a Skunk2, but... I heard it doesn't SIT lower...?
does the skunk2 not sit lower in the car? I hope not!
I got the dual bend skunk2 from coximport.com , but I'm hoping it'd sit lower...
if it doesn't, which one does?
anyone got pics of some installed, and please name which one you got. thanks

the dual bend sits at stock height.. while the the single bend sits i believe closer to the dash and may be lower. I know that dc short shifter sits lower. hope that helps..
Cut the amount of inches off...then retap the threads if you want it lower.
IMHO its dumb to make it lower.. Then you have to reach down.... but to each his own.

no ****. I'm very aware of that.........
I bought a generic short throw for my DA9 a few years back off ebay, and it was not only a shorter throw, but a shorter stance as well.........
I just thought that it was normal for a short throw shifter to have a shorter, more agressive look to it....

I know that I bought a $15 one off ebay for my old civic and it sat about 1.5"s lower but that was a civic. On the downside, while in a race, going from 1-2 it snapped clean off in my hand! The moral......Dont buy a cheap one!
the only part that matters is the lower part of the shifter. The longer the bottom is the shorter the trow is going to be. And the longer the top of the shifter is the easyer is to throw it into gears. Top and bottom of the shifter is from the ball up or down. 98ctr.
The skunk2 is the best IMO. Its also haviver than any other alluminum shifter and helps trowing it into gears easyer. 98ctr.

My generic shifter sits at stock height inside the car, but the throw is very short (shorter than a stock Miata 6-speed shifter). Here's my shifter w/ Razo ****:
My stock shift **** sits a bit higher, but throw is still very short, I love how it feels.

That shifter itself is stock height, but that razo **** sits about 1-1.5" lower than stock. Right now I have the OEM **** on, which makes it easier to shift than that Razo **** because of the shape. I'd like to get a simple Momo black tall anatomic shift **** because the stock **** is ugly IMHO.
