Default Place racing motor mount kit

Hey guys, I did some searching and found a few opinions, but I was just wondering if people have more experience with them yet. It seems the general consenses is that they are a decent mount, just quite stiff? I also ready the the insert is removable (for powdercoating) is this the case? Thanks for all your responses guys!

I've tried the place racing mounts and the HASport

Hasport mounts are 100% better. Place racing are pretty shitty in comparison.

2 place racing mounts busted on my friends coupe (we're using their automatic to manual conversion mount). One broke at the welds, the other we broke the plate into 2 pieces.

HASport mounts are much close to OEM spec, they fit and look a lot better also.
They are machined out of aluminum, and are one piece unlike their place racing counterpart.

the place racing mounts i've seen it looks like they injected the polyurethane into the mount. i'm gonna have to say no it's not removable. i'm not sure if the hasport pieces are either.

i got my hasport tranny mount, cam gear mount ,and rear drag mount for like $375. http://www.jdmcars.com i think can't remember. i parted the hatch out and sold the hasport mounts off.

either way.

buy the hasport mounts.

Check Ebay for Hasport Mounts. I paid $325 shipped for mine on ebay about 6 months ago. You can also pick them up here in the Classifieds pretty cheap. Maybe try http://resource.crx.org classifieds as well.

I have place racing in my EG hatch. I don't like the vibrations. Quick question, if I were to replace my mounts with Hasport, I'm thinking that wouldn't post any problems right?

My Place Racing mounts are pretty stiff but they have never broken on me and I have never had problems of any kind. However, my friend got Hasport mounts for his hatch and he has had to send 2 of them back because the inserts went out on 2 of the 3 mounts. So I guess it just depends on what batch you get....

I am going to have to partially disagree w/ you on this! I do agree that the HASport mounts are nicer, and that the place racing ones are crap! I liked mine at first, but the excessive vibrations, and that part about the mount breaking kinda left a bad taste in my mouth! But the place racing mounts put the motor more towards where honda intended it! But the hasport mounts are better, and placement isn't that differnt between the two! Plus the one piece design makes them stronger!
