clutch noise???
after having my b18b in my civic for about a year now, im started to have a screech/creek sound for the past couple months. it only starts when the car is warm. i recently replaced the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder (but the sound was already here before that) what could it be?? some bearing in the tranny?? i hear it when the pedal is about 2 inches from the floor when being pressed in..........please help!!!!!!!

I have the same problem but in a B18c. When i posted about it someone said it was a throw bearing, but i havent had time to check. Hope that helps.

yeah my car used to make the same noise. i was told it was the throwout bearing. i had my clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, and throwout bearing replaced today - the noise is gone . they gave me the old throwout bearing back, it definately looks worn, especially the one side: its all uneven and ****.

well i don't know the price cause i just got a complete clutch kit w/ the throwout bearing, but just a guess id say around 50 bucks. but they could cost 5 or 100 for all i know.
to install it, you have to seperate the engine and tranny. not really difficult but quite a process. remove the boot from the clutch housing, then you just take the release fork off by squeezing the spring with some pliers and pop the old bearing out. to put the new one in, you just stick it on the mainshaft while inserting the release fork.
of course, get a helms manual first if you really want to do this yourself.

it's most likely the throw out bearing, i had the same problem on my ex tranny and when i swapped the gsr in i took the tranny off and my throw out bearing was bad.
