Start Car, screeching sound....?

Default Start Car, screeching sound....?

when i start my car, i get a high pitched screeching sound that seems to be in line with the timing belt and i sometimes get that screech when i shift gears, i am doing the minime and puttting on a new timing belt, do you think that is the problem?

Could just be that you have loose belts. Check on that and let us know.

belts are slipping.. if your swapping motors it maybe a good time to replace them anyway!!

thanks, i had a feeling, its ok though i am putting on the y8 head on my y7 so the y8 timing belt is on its way!

yeah, timing belt. or adjust the altenator.

Its the timing belt , my brothers Del Sol did the Same thing when he turned the car on a annoying scretch came on.

did the screech go away after a while

If your timing belt is slipping, you got more problems than you think. Probably your a/c or power streering belts. A little belt dressing will work fine, no wd-40 please.
