As written in my sig, my accord is gone. Now, my dad picked up this 97 civic dx with 97xxx miles and the thing is really clean. Once again, its got the auto in it (but im not gonna complain cuz i got car quickly and it still clean as hell). Anywayz, im leaning towards doing an LS swap, but is it a direct drop-in or would i need a mount kit and a different mount for the LS tranny?? someone clue me in on this one.....

also, would i need a obdII-obdI conversion harness to run the LS ecu, or just use a entirely different harness?? someone let me kno......

 

are you planning on swapping an auto ls tranny? or a manual ls tranny?
also, you just need a obd2a ls ecu (can be found pretty cheap)
and for the mounts you need these mounts...

im doin the auto LS tranny for now....maybe in the future i will swap it out and do a 5 spd conversion...........also, what yr LS motor will i need if its gonna be obdII, or does the year of the motor matter???

 

umm my friend was gunna do that in his ek but they said it didnt fit that noone makes a mount for an automatic swap .. so unless someone can make one for ya i dont think it is possible.. goodluck though
