CA guys.. what header do you guys use?
just curious as to what you CA guys use as far as a header goes? i'm particularly looking into a carb'ed header, but not sure which one will perform the best out of the ones available. so far the ones i've seen are...
DC Sports (non-JDM)
Comptech
and I just read today that GReddy makes carb certified ones
which one do you guys that have a carb'ed header on your cars use?
also, do these carb'ed ones give any reasonable types of gains?
these are dohc motors.
thanks in advance

on my accord, i had a ss greddy stainless 4->2->1. im running a DC jdm right now (not carb legal, but came with my motor). im probably gonna wind up running a DC CC 4->1 with a carsound cat, or maybe a JDM with heatsheilds for the stock look

have any of you guys tried running a jdm header through smog check? i know it probably won't pass.. but then i've heard others say that they did. do emission levels get elevated with the jdm header with 2.5" cat?
This is slightly off topic.
I wonder if you took a header by hytech (for example), bought a smashed carb header (for cheap), remove carb the tab and ave it tackeded to your hytech header. Think that would fly?
Heres another possibility. Ill keep it short.
Same header but get the heat shield from a jdm 4to1 header, fab some brackets and weld them to the header so the shield could be mounted. Walla suspiciously stock looking
Thoughts?

would there happen to be any dyno charts of this header in use? it's nice to have something shine in your engine, but i would rather have it be worth my 300 bucks (or however much i'd have to pay for it) and have it do some good for my engine. i know there's not much that a regular 2.0" collector'ed header can do, but if i can be convinced that it does some what of a use.. then why not...
thanks
thanks
Can't go wrong with Comptech.
From the dynos at my tuner's shop, most headers on B16s seem to give reasonable gains, but the dynos I've seen weren't of too heavily modified B16s. Just a few basic parts. I use an A'PEXi header. Seems to work well. It doesn't have a CARB number, but when I took it to a test only station, the guy didn't even care. I passed, and that was that.
