Default How does my friend's quarter mile time compare to yours?

Here is his set up and times 98 ITR with off brand intake, apex n1 catback, gutted cat, and shitty tires.
First run was
60ft:2.3
1/8:9.79
1/4:14.5 at 96 mph

Second run (adding Jun chipped ecu)
60ft:2.3
1/8:9.72
1/4:14.2 at 98 mph

Does this seem pretty decent? This week he going to get better tire to help with the mad wheel spin and hop. Also he is going to do a long awaited tune up. He is hoping for a 14.0 or maybe 13.9 does it seem out of reach?

He needs to practice his launch.

He lauched at 5k on the second run and it slightly bogged down. He is just running on really bald tires.

Sorry to say but that seems very unrealistic.. generic intake , rice canister , and Jun ecu running 14.2? unless maybe hes got a lil something else under the hood
cuz my boys car was one of those Good motors that people get like 2 out of 10? his set up was AEM cai , Spoon header , comptech b pipe , spoon tb , Skunk Ecu , 9lb flywheel , 6puck clutch kit and ran a 13.9 that seems more realistic... but thats just my advice

Something is terribly wrong with his engine if he launched at 5k rpm on bald tires and bogged.

What are you trying to say?

His time is decent. It is nothing out of the ordinary. Certainly nothing that would warrant him thinking that his engine is especially strong.

It is running very rich on the Jun Ecu for some reason it idles very low as well when you first crank it up. The car acts very strange with this ecu. He did get a better quarter mile time however with it.

im not tryin to say ur boys a liar or nothin just sayin that **** must be gifted , but the ecu problem is most times its like that cuz some times the ecu doesnt have that warm up stage tellin ur car to idle around 1.5 rpms but it does help in the performance range

and to the other ni99a i aint talkin **** if thas what u think

This car is bonestock besides the mods listed above. How is the N1 catback a rice canister? When he first bought the car with just the intake he ran a 14.3. His car pulls very strong. It actually pulls better then my old R with the milled head and all the bolt ons.

This guy has really good luck with every car he has owned. In his old 00 GSR with just an AEM he ran a 14.6. If you lived in GA I would tell you to come to the track friday and you could see it for yourself.

well remember peeps, elevation plays a key factor on e/t's when comparing to each other, if he would run that here, that would be OUTSTANDING, being that here is like 4500ft. above sea level :-)

E/T's are only half the story...what are all the 60ft's on those runs?

A 2.3 is not a "good" launch, but is average for novice integra drivers. A 2.1 60ft will show a very nice time, could break into the 13's.

He is a very good driver at this track (Commerce) he always has bad 60ft. times. At Reynolds another local track he usually has 2.0-2.1 60ft times. He is gonna give it a try again this friday with new tires and a tune up. I will let you guys know how it comes out.
