Default Type-S pistons question

i was wondering if the rings from the regular jdm h22 pistons or the regular USDM piston rings would work on my new type-s pistons?? im trying to find a set of type-s piston rings, but hey arent very common. i may just order them from honda, but i was hoping to save some cash by finding out if the other rings will work. thanks

you can use either one....Id strongly recommend type s rings which are easy to find and intended for those pistons

if the pistons are the same bore just use the us ones. just make sure they seal tightly when you slip them in.

So is there any difference between the USDM rings and the Type S piston rings??

I highly doubt there is anything special about a type-s piston ring.

I used plain USDM H22 honda rings from the dealer with my type S pistons. Seems to work fine. All the measurements were within spec. If you use 0.25 mm oversize pistons, be sure to get the oversize rings...
