I am sick of all the "which should I get" posts

there is cosmetic forum, I think people should use it, for all those questions.

Whatever happened to making up your own mind?

What do you the members think?

 

yeah, i agree. There is a cosmetic forum.. this forum is here for performance questions and tech oriented "why is my new civic acting posessed?" questions..

 

Definetly, lock the posts about anything cosmetic. Only engine or suspension mods, if not lock'em!!

 

If anyone has any REASONABLE retort to this, voice it...or locks will begin shortly.

Hey DragII, think I could be the moderator of a "newbies forum"? I agree that the cosmetic stuff needs to go out of this forum, and it would be nice if we didn't have the redundant questions, but somebody's gotta be there to help out the new folks. I would be more than happy to take that on, but of course I don't know if there are any special requirements for moderator or who to contact, etc...

If this is like a "no way in hell" kinda thing feel free to tell me so! Thanks!

When you say "which should I get", do you mean cosmetic stuff only (it seems most people are taking it that way, but it's not that obvious to me). If it's cosmetic, then yes, lock or move it. However, if the person is asking member's opinions on what performance part would be better for power, reliability, drivability, etc., I think that should stay. That's how info is passed anyhoo...by people telling other people their experiences with certain products/parts.

 

I agree. There are certain "what should I get" questions, even those regarding wheels, that have a performance issue. I think that if anyone asks that question that wants to know how it will affect performance, then their post is valid (they should still try search first though)

What shift **** should I get? The one up your mommas azz. It should fit with the short shifter you pick your teeth with. That type of shets gotta go. As for opinions on what performance mods would be better for power, reliability, drivability, etc. for your paticular set-up or build, that's where the search function comes into play. Example... "Quiet or loud exhaust?" I'm sure if you type up Apex WS or Tanabe Racing Medallion you'll get something. People have to have a clue before they ask. If not, oh well.

Hey spyder nice choice, I got the neuspeed coilovers sitting in my living room, waiting to be installed. I have the neuspeed rear sway bar on its way, along with the lower tie bar. Not sure on what brand yet, but I'm planning on ordering some strut tower bars here soon. Me like Suspenssion.

 

I have the Neuspeed front strut tower bar and I'm quite happy with it. When it comes to the strut tower bars, it doesn't make a WHOLE lot of difference which one you get, but I think my suspension's gonna end up neuspeed all the way around.

 

Well, what d'yuh know! Less than a minute after my previous post UPS came knocking on my door with my sway bar and rear tie. I love it when that **** brown delivery truck pulls up in front of my house! Anyways, back to the topic, technical "what should I get" posts are O.K. But the "which rims", "which body kit", and "which color crap" should be left in the appearance forum. I do think since this is the CIVIC forum people should be allowed to post pics of their rides if they want. But all questions about asthetic mods should be moved to either the appearance forum or Spyder's "Newbie" forum. Spyder, your gonna be baby sittin' if you start that forum! LOL

 

hey man, I'm used to babysitting, I have 3 younger siblings But like DragII said, the powers that be don't want a newbie forum, so we continue to wait!

 

Almost any question you have about engine swaps has been covered countless times before...DO A SEARCH BEFORE YOU POST.

refined questions will stay, SOS questions will be deleted, or locked....

 

'which should i get' posts should be locked. 'which do you like better' posts should be locked. asking experiences with certain products should be left alone. and this forum shouldnt be limited to engine and suspension. it should be limited to first hand knowledge of civics. if you need to know somthing about the interior (ie. will this interior fit my car) search first and then ask. if you need to know if a gauge cluster can be put in your car, search first and then ask. if you need someone to make a decision for you about which product you should buy... go to clubsi. if your trying to make a decision for yourself and need some input on the performance or quality of a certain product then ask.

LOCK them PLEASE!!!!!!!! I've seen double Posts on the same page a couple of times in the Last week...... I would clean up some of the forums also
